Aisle Host needed to perform an emergency upgrade on our servers to keep our systems and customers web sites intact. No data loss occured.
When cPanel upgraded itself automatically, something went wrong. While upgrading, cPanel didn't reboot itself correctly... and didn't want to do so anymore. We fixed this, and completed the upgrade. We also rebuilt apache to increase performance. Any lingering issues must be sent through the ticket system located in the top right of our forums.
For those who want more information on what we did, here you go:
- Upgraded cPanel to the new version. We ran into problems doing this... python-devel and python didn't match up. I fixed this issue, and completed the upgrade.
- Upgraded Perl from 5.8.7 to 5.8.8.
- Rebuilt apache and PHP with some special PHP tweaks.

Support tickets and live chat released. on Saturday 14 June 2008 - 06:48:59
Live chat has been released for a quick and easy method of asking for assistance. It's available for guests and clients.
Support tickets have been released to securely ask for assistance with your account and to reveal account details to reach a resolution.
You can use live chat by pressing the buttons littered around our web site and forums. Just input your name and question and you'll be talking to somebody in no time at all.
For ease of use, we've implemented our ticketing system into our forums. This means no registering and juggling ticket IDs to find our response. :)
We hope this inspires confidence in guests and members, to show we are in it for the long haul.
Update: Live chat has been removed due to abuse and loud outcries from staff. Sorry guys.
